Four Saguache Record Custodians

State the incident number, date, location, involved subject, exact report portion, delivery preference, and contact information. Ask about ID, redaction, fees, and timing. Do not apply court copy prices or CBI search charges to a sheriff request. Those schedules belong to other custodians.
An incident report contains the agency account and alleged facts. It is not proof of guilt. The court disposition is the source for the final judicial outcome.
Saguache Sheriff Request Details
A narrow request is easier to process than a request for every record tied to a name. Ask for an arrest report, probable-cause narrative, citation reference, or other defined item. Include the approximate time and place. If the sheriff did not handle the event, ask which agency did and record the incident number before moving on.
CCJRA makes official actions such as arrest, charge, disposition, and release open, but investigative files can require a balancing decision. Active investigation details, victims, juveniles, medical facts, and protected identifiers may be withheld or redacted. If access is limited, ask the custodian to identify the reason.

Booking and Arrest Records in Saguache
The sheriff page, last updated July 25, 2024, says Saguache County inmates are now held by the Rio Grande County Sheriff in Del Norte. Thus, a Saguache arrest can create an incident report in Saguache and booking data in another county. Ask SCSO to confirm the arresting agency, incident number, and detention destination. Then contact the receiving custodian for current status.
No official Saguache jail roster or booking search was located. Rio Grande County’s administration switchboard is 719-657-2744, but the research did not verify it as a jail-direct number. From Saguache to Del Norte
A sheriff arrest begins with a Saguache incident and arrest record. Under the current published arrangement, Rio Grande staff may then book, classify, house, transport, release, and coordinate court appearances for the detainee. Saguache Combined Court later maintains the complaint, hearing events, and outcome.

Each record changes at a different pace. The booking charge may reflect the officer’s initial allegation. A prosecutor can decline, amend, or replace it. A docket event is a calendar entry. The disposition is the court result. CBI may later display the reported arrest and outcome, but can show an unknown disposition when reporting is incomplete.

Saguache Municipal Court meets at Town Hall, 504 San Juan Avenue, on the first Tuesday at 6 p.m. only when a case exists. Telephone confirmation is essential. Town Hall lists seasonal hours. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Winter hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a noon-to-1 lunch closure. Confirm the season before visiting.
Saguache Combined Court Requests
State criminal cases belong at Saguache Combined Court, 501 4th Street. County Court handles misdemeanors, traffic matters, and initial felony complaints. District Court handles felony prosecutions. The online record request accepts case number, year, type, county, party details, and date of birth if known. For a criminal file, select Complaint/Information, Register of Action, and Disposition/Sentence. The printable guidance says to allow three to five business days. Restricted files may require photo identification.
Electronic copies are listed at $0.25 per page. Other charges can apply for a name search, certification, retrieval, research, and redaction. Ask for a quote based on requester status and the exact documents.
How Saguache Records Reach the County
Local agencies create the first event records. If fingerprints are taken, identity and arrest data can enter the CBI and CCIC stream. The court creates its own events and final orders, then reports dispositions back to the repository. A town citation may remain outside that normal cycle.

Correcting Saguache CBI Outcomes

Virtual access and electronic forms are especially useful because detention is in Del Norte and regional legal offices sit in Alamosa. The record itself still belongs to its named custodian.
Saguache Record Access Rules

Saguache Fees Belong to Offices
Published charges in the research come from different agencies and cannot be blended into one Saguache fee schedule. The Judicial Branch lists electronic copies at $0.25 per page. Its request instructions also describe a $5 nonparty name search that includes a register of actions, $20 certification or exemplification, actual off-site retrieval cost, and $30 per hour for research or redaction after the first hour. Party status, paper delivery, postage, and the exact document can change the quote.
Those Judicial prices do not establish the cost of an SCSO incident report or a Rio Grande booking record. The sheriff page publishes no local report fee, turnaround, or separate records policy. Ask SCSO for a written estimate after giving the incident number, date, place, and exact item. Do the same with the detention custodian. A CBI ICHC result has its own $6 charge for each viewed result, while the $13 staff product is the notarized-capable name and date-of-birth option.
Before paying, decide what the Saguache record must prove. A plain court copy may be enough to understand an outcome. Certification is a separate service. ICHC cannot provide the pleading or police narrative, and a sheriff report cannot certify the final sentence. Paying the correct office avoids buying a different record than the one needed.
